I saw something on facebook where my friend said that the last time there was 2 Tropical Cyclones in the pacific this early in the season was the same time that we had all those hurricanes in 2004.  He stated that we're in for a doosey of a hurricane season as a result.  Any truth to that?

Personally, I don't know.  I will try to research it but perhaps Spetrm or others may know the answer.

That is correct what you hear, two of them down in the South Pac, 20P was actually at Cat 5 status for a period of time a few days ago as well.

19 P has drifted south of 30 N in to cooler waters no worries there.

The only worry to landmass is 20P though, it may strick the NE corner of AUSY South of Cairns and North of Brisbane as a Cat one storm. Good thing though is that area is not all to populated, and there used to cyclones or as the ausy's say it, willy willys..
